How do I place my order?
Payment can be made via PayPal using either your PayPal account or a valid/credit/debit card.
We are aware that some of our customers based outside of the UK sometimes have difficulty using PayPal or their credit/debit cards online. If this is the case, or if you have any problems using the online ordering system, please contact us or call 07715 302312 and we will be pleased to advise you of an alternative payment method.
What happens after I have placed my order?
We are not a CV factory, editing or secretarial service, but specialist CV consultants and writers with extensive experience in recruitment and senior management roles. We will work with you on a 1 to 1 basis to prepare your new CV and other personal branding materials. Our aim is to market your skills and experience and show why you’d be the ideal candidate by strongly communicating your relevant skills and experience.
How Our Process Works
You will receive an email to acknowledge your order within 24 hours
We will need:
Either a copy of your existing CV
OR if you don’t have a CV already, we’ll send one of our CV Questionnaires for you to complete with details of your skills, qualifications and career history
2 or 3 examples of job descriptions or vacancies for the type of role you’d like the CV to target
We’ll analyse all of the information you supply and will contact you either by telephone or email if we have any questions
When we have everything we need, we’ll prepare the initial draft of your new CV and send it to you to read through
You’ll have the opportunity to suggest any additions or amendments before the final draft is produced, together with your Cover Letter and any other documents
How long does it take?
Normal turn-round time is between 7-10 days. Quality takes time. We are not one of those companies who pretend we can write a top quality CV in a few hours – because we can’t – no one can! We believe that quality is more important than quantity. We have an excellent reputation in the sector and much of our work comes from recommendation, so we almost always have a waiting list. But good things come to those who wait.
If you need your CV sooner, or need the CV to meet a specific closing date, we will do our best to meet your deadline by reorganising our schedule or working additional hours. An additional fee of £50 will be payable for a quicker turn-round. However, please contact us prior to ordering to ensure we are able to help.

What if I wish to make changes or additions to my CV?
We will produce the initial draft of your new CV and send it over to you to read through. At this point, you’ll have the opportunity to suggest any additions or amendments you feel are appropriate. You know yourself best. We love happy clients and we want you to be satisfied with the end product. If we think the changes you want to make are off the mark, we’ll call you to talk through our reasons and agree a way forward until you are happy with the end result.
What format will my CV and other documents be sent in?
The final version of your documents will be in PDF and Microsoft Word formats. This will give you the freedom to tweak them for specific job applications, if required.
Can you guarantee that my new CV will get me a job?
No. Please don’t believe anyone who tells you they can guarantee you an interview or a job. Only an employer has that power – not a CV writer, not a recruiter, but the EMPLOYER!
Some CV companies ‘guarantee’ interviews, but they tend to be those who are part of a larger group which also includes a recruitment company. Others may be affiliated with a separate recruitment company and the same applies. However, this doesn’t always guarantee you will secure an interview with an employer.
We have absolutely no control over which jobs clients may use the CV to apply for. You may not have the skills, experience levels of qualifications required. Therefore, as there are many variables out of our control, we have no way of guaranteeing you will get a job.
All we can say with certainty is that we ask our clients to keep in touch with us and let us know how they get on in their job search. We love to hear that they’ve had an interview and got the job they want and our success rates are very high. Take a look at our customer feedback.
Is it better to have a generic CV or one which is targeted to a particular type of job?
The objective of the CV is to secure interviews for the job you want.
A recruiter/employer has very little time to read a CV and is highly unlikely to spend ages trying to find information, so we need to make it clear and easy for them. Therefore, the CV needs to tell them what they want to know and quickly so it grabs their attention and they don’t lose interest in you.
These days, many companies use CV databases and Automated Application Systems (AATS) which often carry out the first sift. To be selected, the CV needs to contain industry keywords and be formatted in a way which is compatible with ATS in order to get through the first sift and find its way in front of a human.
Therefore, we would always recommend that your CV is written to target the particular type of role you want.
Can I pay for my new CV and other documents after they’ve been produced instead of upfront?
No. As we produce bespoke, personalised documents, we ask for payment and commitment from clients from the start. It’s industry standard practice and it ensures we get paid for the work we do.
Do you accept part payments or instalments?
Can I cancel my order?
Once an order is placed, we do not accept cancellations unless there are exceptional circumstances and only if agreed by a Director. In all cases, a cancellation charge of £50 will be levied to cover administration costs.

What should I do if I have a complaint?
We don’t like complaints. We like happy customers who will be customers of ours for life. In fact, we like to think we don’t actually have customers, but lots of friends we just happen to do business with.

If I order one of the less expensive CV packages now, can I upgrade to one of the others?
Of course, we’d be delighted. Just drop us an email or call us within 3 months of receiving your new CV.
What is the best way to keep my CV up to date?
Some of the CV packages include FREE CV updates for 12 months. So, when you are appointed to your new job, get great results or gain new qualifications, just let us know the details and we’ll update your CV for you.
Existing clients can also keep their CVs up to date using our CV Update Service available for a small annual fee.
Do you offer the Forces CV services to military wives/spouses?
Yes, of course. Wives and spouses are part of the military family and we’d be delighted to help.
Our Director, Sian Richardson, was herself a military wife and understands the challenges of wives/husbands and dependents supporting their partners around the world.

Why do your CVs cost as much as they do?
On the contrary, we think they are extremely reasonably priced for the advantages we give you in the job market. The best writers don’t come cheap and, as the saying goes, if you think it’s expensive to use a professional, wait until you use an amateur. That said, we deliberately try to keep prices at affordable rates, and we believe that we can give you the best CV you will get anywhere, at any price. Many clients come to us to fix their CVs having used other, more expensive companies where they’ve paid 3 times as much.
Are there companies who charge less?
Yes, but you get what you pay for. The lower their charges, the less time they are going to spend working on your CV and the less chance there’ll be of you having an interview-winning CV at the end of it.
Who will write my CV?
We have a small, hand-picked team of top CV writers, all of whom have been specifically selected and trained by our founder, Sian Richardson, who personally checks the quality of all work produced. It may sound picky, but we are absolutely committed to producing the very best documents for our clients. We never farm out CVs to inexperienced writers.
What format do you use?
MS Word and PDF are the formats that employers usually prefer.
Do you offer a CV printing service?
Many people have a printer of their own these days, and can print out their own CVs. However, if you’d like us to print your CV on good quality paper using a laser printer, we offer this service at £10 for 10 copies or £20 for 30 copies, plus £3.00 postage. Good-quality matching envelopes can be supplied for an additional £5 or £10 respectively.
